Back in Black
This story is one that almost slipped through the cracks, but like Lewis Black, I've caught it. Unlike Lewis Black, I won't go on a tirade about it, because it's pretty cool.
I'd just like to reiterate that one point, so I'm going to quote it again, and Italicize it.
If I'm not mistaken, this man had either diabetes or a heart condition, and I think it was the latter. He was in captivity for forty-seven days. Unlike that terrorist-enabling Sgrena What's-her-face, this guy gets released, and what does he say?
In ten years, all of the filthy hippies who continue to this day to protest the war and do everything they can to support the terrorist vermin will still be filthy and unemployable, and the Iraqi people will be honored as the second step in the establishment of freedom in the Middle East. Douglas Wood is living proof.
An Australian man freed last week after being held hostage by insurgents in Iraq has returned to his home country.
Douglas Wood said he wanted to apologise to US President George W Bush and Australian leader John Howard for remarks he had made during captivity.
A video made by his captors and given to Arabic TV had shown him pleading for foreign troops to withdraw from Iraq.
But Mr Wood said he was living proof that the US and Australian governments' policy on Iraq was the right one.

"I actually believe that I am proof positive that the current policy of training the Iraqi army ... works because it was Iraqis that got me out."
