Speaking of the AFP, here's a couple of stories worth reading.
The Czech military, in an effort to get their military up to minimum NATO specs, has leased Gripen fighters from Sweden. They will have possession of fourteen planes for ten years, and pay $785m.
Not to be outdone, Liberia is restructuring its military. This link provides a look at Liberia's forces. I don't know about you, but I'm thinking that it's going to pretty tough for them to "restructure" such a poorly organized, poorly supplied force.
