The Blessed Reprieve
It's days like this that make it impossible for me to be an atheist.
I was supposed to be half way through the Quran on Tuesday. I'm nowhere near that; of four-hundred thirty pages in my copy, I'm on about Page eighty. I've got two additional texts, plus a play I'm supposed to have read for Class 5 (Diversity).
Today I got to school, and did a bit of reading, but not sufficient enough for me to finish in time. Then God blessed me; I read closer on the site where I do some of my readings online and found that I can actually listen to them. If I can both hear and see what I'm reading, I can get through it much, much faster. (If it's odd for you to think that my Christian God blessed me by allowing me to read the Muslim Quran faster... Yeah, that's an odd one to me too, but I'm looking at it as helping me finish my work load; there's really no chance of me converting.)
In Class 1, Professor Fashion Challenged (who wasn't quite fashion challenged this morning, much to his credit) finished half an hour early. More time to read! Unfortunately I pissed it away talking to the B&C, but it was still advantageous to finish early. Also, he's not assigning us our second essay assignment until next week since we're already behind schedule, so I won't have to worry about it over the weekend; it was originally meant to be due Tuesday.
Blah blah blah, Class 2 lab, buy food, go to class early to review for my midterm in Class . I reviewed with the other two guys in the class (smallest non-independent study course I've ever had), which allowed me to do far better on the exam than I did on the last quiz. I finished after only thirty-five (of eight) minutes: more time to read.
So I came to the computer lab, loaded up the website, and got at least one more Sura under my belt, then prepared to go apologize to Professor Clean for being so far behind, then discuss what I do have to discuss. I walked up to his door (seeing that his light was off) and read a note. He's out sick, and had my name on there asking if we could meet Tuesday.
BOOYEAH.
At any rate, I'll have a quick look at the news, see if there's anything that needs immediate posting, and then head to Class 5 before going to Mr. Strong's funeral.
Praise be to God, for he has delivered me from my time of trial.
