Compromising Arabs

The Saudis and the Egyptians are trying to engineer a compromise in the dispute over Syrian troops in Lebanon. In my opinion, the best compromise would be the full withdrawal of Syrian troops from Lebanese soil, and a public apology from Assad for having ordered the troops to long overstay their welcome.
