Exhausted
I honestly should not still be at work. At this point, it's going to be at least 22:00 before I can get to bed. I have to take one of my two (overdue) movies back, and renew the other (Blade Runner) because I still haven't had an opportunity to watch it all the way through.
I'm pretty beat. After Arabic class I made a stop at the radio station, and then went to the gym where I did laps in the pool. Once I was done there, I went home for a few minutes, then came to work. Last week and this week, the lady who I share the evening shifts with (I'm Wednesday and Friday, she's Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) is on holiday, so I've got each and every night this week. That meant some very aggressive work during my day shift (manual labor type work). What I really need tonight are the following:
Pint of Guinness
A good old fashioned pole polishing
A hot bath
I'll probably get one of the three, and you can probably guess which it is. The good thing, though, is that I can call today a success, because I'm going to at least come close to finishing all the things on my list. You see, every week I make a "To Do" list, divided into six sections (each weekday, and one entry for both Saturday and Sunday), and list the things I want to accomplish on any given day. This is the first time in months, yes, months, that I've legitimately been able to cross "PT" (the military term for physical training, or exercise) off of my list. Tomorrow, God willing, will be the second day.
Oh, and for you Christians out there, I figured out a phrase today in Arabic class that may or may not offend some Muslims, as it's a bit of a ripoff of one of the common phrases in Islam. "Issusu Ahkbar" means "Jesus is greatest", I think. It just goes to show you that any language can be used to glorify Jesus.
G'night.
