Who? The Spotted Owl

I can still remember when the whole issue with the Spotted Owl was big in the news here in the Northwest. There are still areas that are completely economically depressed due to the loss of timber jobs.

This guy's essay may be goofy and poorly written, but he makes a point.

Isn't it ironic that the godless communists who put Charles Darwin on a pedestal and refuse to acknowledge that atheistic evolution requires as much (or more) faith as any other philosophy are the same lunatics who blame humans (as opposed to natural processes) for every extinction or miniscule change in any environment?

"You can't teach intelligent design in schools! That's unsubstantiated religion! Church and state are separate! You have to teach Darwin! Darwin!"
"Hey, wow, look at this, a species is going extinct because there's an apparently superior species breeding it out of existence."
"That's nonsense! It's all the fault of wealthy corporate developers!"
"But it's in the middle of the desert. There's no development whatsoever out there."
"It must be corporate developers! Americans have to be at fault! Nothing bad in the world happens unless Americans are causing it!"
