Information Overload
I've been to visit my computer, and I will not be picking it up today. According to the guy at the shop (there are two of them) who I talked to just now, it was "Pretty ****ed". They were running Defrag on it, and had to do so in safe mode, and the thing was still stuck at ten percent. I've actually (while writing this) gotten a call from the same guy, and it's finished defragging, so he's making a special trip into the shop tomorrow so that I can pick it up. I'm not a fan of 09:00 appointments on my Saturday off, but to reclaim my beloved connection to you wankers, I'll do just about anything.
My newest computer is the laptop, and it's five years old, and probably older since they don't build an HP laptop on the day you buy it from Staples. Once I have money in a few months, I'll be in the market for a new machine, but in the meantime I'm squirreling away as much as I can (while simultaneously being stuck with horrendous expenses on things like computer repairs and discretionary ring resizing). In theory, I'll be in pretty decent economic shape by the end of August... In theory.
Well, I'll have a look at the news. I've essentially been in news blackout since yesterday morning, so I'll be as surprised as you at what I dig up.
