The Fly on John Garang

My guess is that none of you noticed, but some "rebel leader" in Sudan died last week. I was getting more and more curious as to why the BBC News website was dedicating so much attention to him, as if they had a chubby for "freedom fighters" or something. Turns out that he joined up twenty-two years ago with Christian and Animist rebels fighting against the imposition of Islamic shari'a law in Sudan.

You know what? Anyone who fights against Islamists who want to impose shari'a law in Africa is alright by me.
