Senior Pranks
Here's another post about high school; maybe I'll draw [Generic High SChool Graduate] out and figure out who (s)he is.
When I was in high school, one of the traditions was that every year, the seniors pulled a prank. During my senior year, we brought in an attorney and the county sheriff, both of them the fathers of seniors, and had our principal arrested during a pep assembly. A friend and I then became co-principals for the rest of the day.
Several years before I arrived, the seniors disassembled a Volkswagen Beetle outside the school, somehow got inside the school, and and reassembled it inside one of the courtyards.
During my brother Twitley's senior year, some of his buddies spraypainted some graffiti on the outside wall of the gym - but made it look as if it had been done by students from our rival high school. They were eventually caught and punished.
And, during my freshman year, in the Spring of 1997, a group of seniors went to a local pet shop and bought several hundred crickets, then released them in the school. They made a big mess, and they had to hire an exterminator several times. Somehow the costs for extermination, even though they were supposedly being supplemented by a couple of local businesses, came out to the exact amount of the senior class budget.
How about you? Pull any senior pranks? Remember any really good ones? Post 'em.
