Blackbird Laura

Last night's BSG was outstanding, everything we've come to expect from this outstanding series. Last night, the Galactica was attacked by the Cylon computer virus that invaded the computer systems during the temporary linkup a few episodes back, when Galactica's CIC crew networked the computer systems in order to quickly plot a jump point to reuinite the fleet. In the end, it was Cylon prisoner Sharon Valerii who saved the day, sending a virus that paralyzed a veritable fleet of attacking Cylon raiders. Also, the first productive element of the post-invasion era was introduced when Galactica's top mechanic got the entire crew involved with constructing a new fighter craft, nicknamed the Blackbird due to its carbon composite coverings that made it essentially undetectable by standard remote sensing systems.

Next week, a chance reunion occurs, possibly with the Battlestar Pegasus under the command of an admiral, played by Star Trek's Michelle Forbes. When one of the Pegasus crew members is killed, two of Galactica's top personnel (Chief Tyrel and Lieutenant Agathon?) are placed under arrest. Heads will roll when Commander Adama challenges the admiral's authority by enforcing colonial law, demanding the two be given a fair trial.

You should be watching. If you're not, then you're wrong.
