MJ Parody Week: Day Four

Happy Thursday, folks. I'm doing a fantastic job of staying productive this week, last night was no exception, and neither will today be. Yesterday was a quiet news day, but here are a few stories.

  • Fox: Critics Cringe at Ad for Burger King's Latest Sandwich - Oh, my...
  • Men Told Have Sex Daily to Boost Sperm Quality, Fertility (Times, BBC) - Ladies, a little help, please?
  • Fox: Canada Sees Boom in Private Health Care Business - And The One wants to emulate this system? If people can get health coverage for free from the government, and it's so lousy that people who can afford it don't want anything to do with it, that's not a system that America should emulate. America should drive the cost of health care down by getting government out of health care, not getting it further ingrained into it.
  • Guardian: [British] Army suffers from 'toxic leadership', warns major
  • Cracked: 11 Ill-Conceived Displays of Patriotism
  • Michael Yon: The Road to Hell Part II, Lithuanians on the Moon - Michael Yon is one of the two best independent military journalists working today. He hasn't been writing much over the last few weeks, but he's had a couple of great posts over the last couple of days. Give them a read.

Today's the penultimate day of Michael Jackson Parody Week. I'll lay off a bit today, and present "Super Michael Jackson Bros.".

Last night, I watched the entire Martin Bashir Living with Michael Jackson documentary on YouTube, and it was the original version in which the second kid who accused him of molestation wasn't blurred out. As I've learned more about Michael Jackson over the last week, it's become more and more clear to me how troubled and disturbed Michael Jackson really was - and just how much damage his father did to him throughout the entire course of his life. I'll refrain from further comment for the time being, but if you're curious, the documentary is worth watching.

So, all of that stuff that I ordered a few weeks ago has finished arriving, with the last item being the Turkish prayer beads that arrived last night. (My British desert trousers arrived this weekend.) Good good.

Does anyone have plans for the long weekend? Any barbecues, fireworks displays, anything like that? If you're up to anything, leave me a comment and let me know. For now, that's all I have. Check in tomorrow for more, folks.
