  • Wired: French fighter beats out American, Swedish aircraft in Brazil; Times blog: Sarkozy ends jynx on French fighter jet - I'm not sure how the Dassault Rafale is, but according to Michael Yon, the Dassault Mirage 2000D is the least favorite aircraft of troops in Afghanistan needing air cover. This sounds good for both France and Brazil, so even though the United States lost out on this one, more power to both of these other nations - I'd rather see Brazil flying French fighters than Russian ones.
