Little Green Brits

It's good to see that our closest allies are spending their money wisely.

Undaunted by the lack of evidence, officials at the British defence ministry are refusing to rule out the existence of alien life forms visiting Earth, the Financial Times reported Thursday.

It quoted from a hitherto confidential letter by an official acknowledging the ministry recorded accounts of people claiming to have seen alien life in Britain.

According to the letter, obtained under recent legislation on freedom of information, such reports are collected "solely to establish whether what was seen might have some defence significance."

Scott "Captain Jonathan Archer" Bakula was unable to comment, as he was busy cleaning out his dressing room.

My dad is crying somewhere. I will never know a bigger Star Trek and Scott Bakula fan that my father.

The British Government cant rule out the existence of alien life forms visiting earth. Did they get some of Jacque Chirac's DNA or something? Something is amiss. LOL

Yeah, it's unfortunate on both counts. I thought "Enterprise" had a lot of potential, but it was way too preachy, and it violated the one inviolable rule of Star Trek: keep the nerds happy. Nerds were endlessly whining about how the new series was inconsistent with the storylines and technology of the old series'.

As for the whole aliens thing, Michael Crichton criticized the same sort of thing in our government in Aliens Cause Global Warming (his lecture about "global warming"). Science has pissed away millions of dollars since the 1960's on "SETI", even though there's zero chance of us ever finding anything out there, even if it existed/exists. Just one more excuse to provide jobs on the government payroll for people to not accomplish anything.
