Week in Review
It's been a long week. Here are a few of the major developments, for the handful of you wankers who care.
The Mirror isn't taking my calls. I sent one last ditch E-Mail on Wednesday, but I don't expect an answer to it; she barely E-Mailed before, why should I expect her to follow through now? My longest relationship (about seven months) has fallen apart, and there was essentially nothing I could do to save it.
On Wednesday night, before I sent the aforementioned E-Mail, I faxed the required paperwork for the continuation of my application process. On Tuesday I received instructions for an online writing assessment, so once it's completed and submitted, I just sit back and wait for them to contact me and tell me whether they're interested or not. For some strange reason, I'm optimistic. If I'm hired, that would put me in the Beltway by the end of the year.
Of my three major projects, two are done, and one's still not started. I'll write it tomorrow and submit it. Of course, there's no rest for me. I have a take-home final due Monday, another due Wednesday, and a short in-class final on Friday. Any time that I'm not writing will be spent... Well, writing, as I have a number of research assignments to get caught up on.
My favorite film of all time, Gladiator, is on. I saw this movie instead of going to my senior prom (opening weekend, baby!). Aside from a couple of social engagements during the week that gave me a shot in the arm, this is about the only good thing to happen to me this week.
I'll be very ready to leave this term behind.
