Fast Times in Old Beijing

The commies over at AFP SpaceWar have an article up about the dangerous game the Chinese government is playing. If you'll remember, a few weeks ago they were allowing Chinese nationalists to protest against Japan. By allowing such behavior, they've put themselves in a precarious position that could invite internal protests against Chinese foreign and domestic policies.

I'm working on a paper that's due in a couple of hours, so I can't read the whole thing, but go check it out. It's from the French, so take it with a grain of salt, but it should at least give you some interesting background information.
