Everyone knows that I hate the BBC, but they're the natural choice for information about yesterday's attack.

Yesterday morning, the news agencies were reporting forty-five deaths. The figure was later revised to a preliminary count of thirty-three, and then seemed to stop at thirty-eight. It has now risen to more than fifty.

Sir Ian Blair said the final death toll was unlikely to top 100, but warned an unknown number of bodies remain in the blast-hit Tube train at Russell Square.
