Supplemental Reading
I'll be working on an overdue research project for most of the rest of the day, so I thought that I'd post a couple of links for the thousands of readers I've no doubt attracted during my week and a half of posting.
The first is a speech by Michael Crichton entitled "Aliens Cause Global Warming," given originally at Cal Tech in January of 2003. It does not claim that aliens cause global warming; rather, it examines the recent trends of irresponsible science as they relate to radical environmentalism and public policy. It's very much worth the read, and from a glance the rest of the site looks interesting as well.
Since I had a few comments on the post about the Methodist and Anglican churches, I figure I'll also post a link to a site that provides a balanced analysis of the LDS Church. In particular, I'll link to a letter from a former LDS bishop in Canada to one of the elders in Salt Lake City. I'll note briefly that while I'm not anti-LDS, I've studied the LDS church for a nummber of years and have some serious disagreements and questions of LDS doctrine, theology, history, and practice. I post this link merely because it's thought-provoking.
If you're not interested in reading today, why not go check out some of the latest news and images from Cassini's trip to Saturn?
