I feel your pain. I hear it everytime I walk into a classroom and I deal with it everytime my mother-in-law comes into town. Luckily, there's a good chance I'll out live her.

I think the two things that bug me most are the claims that A) only white people can be racists and B) white people, by virtue of the color of their skin, have an automatic privilege. Both of these are nonsense, but those ideas form the basis of so much "scholarship" in this day and age.
Well I can say for sure that just because I am white I have not received any special priviledges. You're right, it's a bunch of garbage. I've never been accused of being racist(not that I care really) and I'm certainly not afraid to speak my mind about their "culture". But they are just as bad, sometimes worse, than white people. Damn the man! :o)
