Going Down (Not Like That)
I'm going to do a little reading and then hit the sack. Dad and I are going tomorrow to look at dogs; Majo can't be replaced, but we're not a family without a dog in the back garden. We're looking for a male black labrador puppy, and we're inclined to wait until we can get one that fits the description, but there are apparently a few possible leads at a local kennel.
There are two male yellow labrador puppies. We're looking for a black, but they're worth looking at.
There's a black labrador female that's about eighteen months old, that's supposed to be an outstanding dog.
There's a black labrador female that's about two years old, that's supposed to be completely and totally outstanding.
The strange thing about the latter two is that Wednesday night I had a dream in which we adopted a seven or eight year old female black labrador that was nearly identical to Majo. It was as if we had literally found a replacement for Majo, and it wasn't the impact of getting a puppy since it was an older dog to begin with. I don't put much stock in clairvoyance (sp?) or soothsaying, but it was hours later that Dad told me about the dogs he'd been told about over the telephone.
Anyway, we're supposed to leave here at 09:30, so I'm going to grab some shut-eye. This has been a pretty decent week overall, with a rather nice ending. Let's hope most of my post-college weeks are like this, because most of the weeks between my return from the United Kingdom until my graduation were pretty rough around the edges.
G'night folks.
UPDATE: Holy sweet merciful glaven, look what I found over at one of today's "Next Blog" referrers, Daisy Cutter: a website with a PDF version of John Kerry's 1971 book that sold out every American serviceman. Go have a look! This is the one that you can't find any copies of, because it's so old and long out of print, and because the Kerry campaign (allegedly) swallowed up all of the extraneous copies of it. Go look! And g'night!
