A New Flatmate/AMF

Yesterday morning, I got a message on Facebook from M@ (who probably still can't tell time).

Emergency Medicine PA 636

M@ is trying desperately to become a physician's assistant. He's in school and everything, and at the moment he's doing the on-the-job portion. Here's the thing: I live, like, ten or fifteen miles from Portsmouth. As the crow flies, and probably as the crow drives, Portsmouth is actually closer to me than work is. So, I called M@ this afternoon, and we're seriously discussing the possibility of him being my temporary flatmate for the one to four months that he might be in the area.

I've never had a flatmate; and although my place isn't huge, I almost never use the bedroom, so for a closed-ended amount of time, having a flatmate who's also an awesome friend from college might actually be just what I need. It would probably alleviate some of my financial obligations, it would be cool to have someone to hang out with more often, and our respective schedules would probably mean that we wouldn't always be stuck with each other. At the very least, it's worth looking into; and, if it doesn't work, he'll at least be in the area for a while, which will be awesome.

Now, I mentioned that M@ sent me that message on Facebook. Given that Facebook is a great place to put pictures of yourself looking like you were born with a few extra chromosomes, M@ decided to do just that; as such, no post about having M@ as a potential flatmate would be complete without just such a picture.

This particular Freitag couldn't have come soon enough, and I'm in desperate need of this weekend. I was up late last night, working on a short project, and I also went to see Traitor with Police Fan and the youngest of his many women. I thought it was excellent, and without the stupid last minute moral equivalency argument of The Kingdom (also a decent flick, but the last minute or two totally ruined the rest of the flick). If you get a chance, go check it out - it has a great twist at the end that I found exceptionally entertaining.

Anyway, that's it for today. I may post something this weekend, possibly including new pictures of my flat if I'm able to get some work done on it. Stay tuned, because there's always more to come; and go check out Friar Dave's new blog, The Chronicles of Friar Dave. If you'll look at the first post down at the bottom, you may notice a similarity to a certain daily report that you may be familiar with...

Have a great weekend, folks.
