Lunacy from the Bench
Absolute lunacy.
This is absolutely ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. In the United Kingdom, you don't have the right to kill a criminal that breaks into your house with a handgun to steal from or harm you and your family, but these cold blooded wannabe martyr-murderers have a right to a fair trial by the laws of "human rights"?
How's this for a human right: people have the right to defend themselves by locking away terrorist murderers for the rest of their natural lives in a basement solitary confinement cell with nothing but rice, bread, and water to eat. My right to not be blown up by some Islamofascist terrorist outweighs that Islamofascist terrorist's "right" to due process.
Detaining foreign terrorist suspects without trial breaks human rights laws, the UK's highest court has ruled.
In a blow to the government's anti-terror measures, the House of Lords ruled by an eight to one majority in favour of appeals by nine detainees.
The Law Lords said the measures were incompatible with European human rights laws, but Home Secretary Charles Clarke said the men would remain in prison.
He said the measures would "remain in force" until the law was reviewed.
