A guy leads a bunch of Islamofascist murderers to kill two hundred people, the Indonesian courts give the guy less than three years, and when they uphold the Mickey Mouse sentence (the guy should be executed if you ask me), his lawyers accuse the U.S. of meddling? Riiiight...
JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) -- Indonesia's Supreme Court has upheld a 30-month prison sentence for militant cleric Abu Bakar Ba'asyir for conspiracy in the 2002 Bali nightclub bombings, a court official said Saturday.
Lawyers for Ba'asyir, who expected their appeal to be rejected, accused the United States of interfering in Indonesia's judicial process.
"We deeply regret the Supreme Court decision," said Muhammad Assegaf. "But it does not change anything -- we believe our client is innocent. He was not involved in the Bali bombings."
Ba'asyir, the alleged spiritual head of the al Qaeda-linked Jemaah Islamiyah terror group, was convicted in March for giving his blessing to militants who carried out the attacks that killed 202 people, many of them Australian tourists.
