Gasping

Most excellent!

A Russian mini-submarine stranded for three days on the ocean floor off the coast of the country's Far East has been brought to the surface.

The seven-man crew, who had faced low temperatures and dwindling oxygen, are all reported to be alive and well.

It's outstanding that the Russian crewmen, all of them, have been rescued. But, of course, the BBC proceeds to screw up the details.

A British underwater robot had been working to slice through the fishing nets entangling the submarine.

Not only do they not mention the two American robots, but they can't even get the details of the obstacle right. A fishing net two hundred meters underwater, and not being used by a fishing boat? Nice try, BBC. It was an underwater antenna assembly, not a fishing net.

Bottom line, though, is that the Russian crew is safe, thanks to help from the Americans and the Brits. This is outstanding.
