The Next Book

I've got a lot of books that I want to read once I finish Moonraker. Here's a list of my immediate picks.

  • Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne
  • Armor by John Steakley
  • Black Hawk Down by Mark Bowden
  • Confessions by Augustine
  • Out of the Silent Planet by C.S. Lewis
  • The Return of the King by J.R.R. Tolkien
  • The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell
  • U2 at the End of the World by Bill Flanagan

Have a look, and give me some input. Will I pick what you recommend? It's possible. Post it up, folks.

UPDATE: Just for the record, Moonraker is turning out to be a pretty decent read. Ian Fleming only writes one kind of Bond girl, so that's a bit predictable, but for the most part I'm enjoying it. It's the third Bond novel I've read, and the other two (Live and Let Die and Casino Royale) have been exciting, but with extremely disappointing trick endings. The climax of this one seems to be beginning about thirty pages out, so that's a good sign. I'll keep y'all posted.
